Steve,
I'm only evaluating ws_ftp pro myself but I had a
related problem problem. I'm using Windows 95 and on
that system there is a file in Windows/Application
Data/Ipswitch/Ws_ftp/Sites folder called WS_FTP.ini.
This is the same NAME as the file in the WS_ftp folder
where you install the program but NOT the same
CONTENTS. When you changed operating systems you
probably lost the .ini file in Windows folder area.
This file points to the .ini file in the program's
folder which contains only your ftp sites. The
standard sites supplied with the program are in the
.ini file in the Windows area.

Reinstall the program. Do not delete the ws_ftp.ini
file in the existing folder where the program is now
installed. In fact, save it somewhere - just in case.

As a last resort you can change the .ini file in the
Windows area (edit with notebook) to make the
reference in it that points to the .ini file in the
program area correct (which it might not be now).

Your mileage may vary since I have no experience with
XP but this may at least give you some clues.

John
