I have an NT 4.0 (build 6) system. My server is a Unix box, running an Apache server.

Often (not always), at the end of an upload, the progress bar shows 100% transmission
of
the file and all bytes are accounted for, but the transmission is never completed. My
NT
Task Manager shows WS-FTP is running; the server believes a transfer is in progress.
If I
attempt to 'cancel' either the file or the operation with the buttons on the WS-FTP
dialog
window, nothing happens. If I attempt to quit WS-FTP. I am told an operation is in
progress. Sometimes, if I've stacked up 'cancel transmission' clicks, eventually it
will
clear itself. More often, this results in the server getting hung up, and I have to
call
their tech support to correct things.

I have switched 'passive mode' back and forth so many times I can't count them.

Both my C (system) and D (application/document) drives are too full. Though I've run NT
disk management tools repeatedly, it's possible that there's still something agley in
the
directories, though nothing shows up.

How do I get WS-FTP to indicate to the server that my upload is completed?

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
