You will need to fire the whole process via a batch file which after the transfer fires the executable. There is a really wonderful book called Windows NT Shell Scripting by Tim Hill that will show you how to create incredibly elegant batch files and scripts..... I had not worked with batch files since the old DOS 2.0 days and had forgotten how much power is there

Thanks, I figured that part out, but it does not execute after the download is complete, which is what I really need to have happen.

I am currently using the scheduler with some success. One caveat that I discovered is that the scheduler in WinNT4.0 does not work correctly and there is no apparent workaround (I spend $250 to have Microsoft tell me that one !!!)

At any rate in WSFTP Pro you can click on Tools/Scheduler/New and setup a transfer.  What actually happens is that WSFTP acts as a front end for the Microsoft Scheduler service and it works fine. If on Win2K or XP using NTFS be sure that you specify a valid domain/user account for permission or the transfer will fail.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] Scheduler

Hello:

I am new to Wsftp. In looking it over, I am trying to figure out how I can schedule a file to be transferred and then have it open automatically, the way the Execute command works.

Is this possible, and if so, how would I go about doing it?

Any help would be much appreciated.
