My company has just purchased ws_ftp Pro and I've found a problem with it.
We've use IBM servers running AIX 4.3.2. When I view a location (directory)
via ws_ftp the information and files/directories to access are different
from what is really available. An example:

Below is an AIX directory partial listings:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 hannam suroot 193 Nov 06 2001 netstat.ksh
-rw-r--r-- 1 hannam suroot 70 Mar 15 2002 simex_prices
drwxr-sr-x 2 root suroot 512 Mar 15 2002 tscs
-rw-r----- 1 hannam suroot 598158 Apr 19 2002 brent.bmp
-rw-r--r-- 1 hannam suroot 85068 May 22 16:38 prices.290402
drwxr-sr-x 2 hannam suroot 512 May 31 16:12 holiday
-rw-r--r-- 1 root suroot 9002 Jun 06 22:08 cr.mjh

When I open a ws_ftp connection to the server/directory above I can view,
access files that have a timestamp with a time, eg, the holiday file. But
for files with no time in the timestamp, eg netstat.ksh, that has Nov 06
2001 as its AIX timestamp, in ws_ftp the file is dated as 06/11/2038 00:00.
Crucially the file cannot be ftped back to the PC, nor can it be viewed. In
the viewing panel I noticed that the file has a space before the file name.
When trying to ftp a 2038 file I get:

550 netstat.ksh: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
Transfer request completed with status: Failed, 1 SubItem(s) failed

Even more, directories that don't have a time in the timestamp, eg, tscs in
the above example, cannot be accessed. Errors are of the form:

XCWD /home/hannam/ tscs
550 /home/hannam/ tscs: A file or directory in the path name does not
exist.
PWD
257 "/home/hannam" is current directory.

Note again that ws_ftp puts a space before the directory name.

Is this a problem with how ws_ftp view AIX directories? Unless this is
resolved then we cannot use this program.
