I only see users from one domain and I think the server only supports a
single NT database. You could probably make some type of database that
combines them both and then authenticate to that with ODBC.

Chris do you see users from BOTH domains in the WS_FTP server administration
window? Or, do you see users from one domain, the domain that is setup in
WS_FTP authentication?

I see both groups and users in the server admin window. As I understand it
though the groups are not NT groups but groups defined within WS_FTP server.
I'm fairly certain that groups can be used when setting permissions server
side on virtual folders though.

Chris, do you see only "Users" in the WSFTP server admin window? Or do you
see "groups" and "users"?

I am trying to do the same thing, only on NT4.0 with trusts between two
domains. Users in both domains need FTP access and should be able to user
their "single sign on" domain account.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] serve files across separate domains with WSFTPD

I am trying to serve files between two separate win2k domains. There is a
one way trust relationship built between the domains with the trusting
domain holding the WSFTP server and the trusted holding the files I want to
serve. My user database is NT using NT file and folder permissions. All
users set to all access on the virtual folder I created. I mounted a drive
letter to a share on the trusted domain. I haven't even dealt with the
persistence of the mount since I stay logged in during testing. Whenever I
try to access the folder pointed to a mounted drive, I receive a "no folder
found" error and the same in the logs. I tried once to run the service as a
user on the other domain but it pretty much killed the ftp server. It works
while running on the local system. I think this is the issue though, I need
to run the WS_FTP server service as a user from the other domain but give
that user write privilege to the needed directories. Does anyone have any
experience in this or can you recommend anything?

Thanks,
