Hi John,   As far as I can tell from you question you are not having trouble with IIS, the server that is responding to the hostname ftp.cracker.com is running ProFTPD 1.2.0. and does allow anonymous access to the files that you mentioned earlier.  Perhaps this host is already part of your network?
