I have not had any luck getting SSL to work fully (server version 3.14). Even with proxy servers completely out of the picture, the best I can get is the connection to work if the
Certificates are requested and verified upon connection option is turned on on the server. Otherwise the connection times out. I have two questions. First, what is the damage if this option isn't turned on? Does it mean userids and passwords are sent unencrypted? Second, does anyone have any suggestions on getting SSL to work with this option set? Thank you.
