I have a client trying to connect to my server and is having the same
difficulty. Here is what I know as I try to help him.

-The problem seems to manifest itself with version 8 not 7.x
-The problem (Can logon but Cannot IS or PUT) is also prevalent with
another command prompt FTP client. So the error is reproducing itself
with other products apparently (although I have not confirmed this
through my own testing)
-I upgraded to version 8 to troubleshoot and everything works fine. I
have also ensured my firewall doesn't inspect port 21 traffic.
IpSwitch support says there is "new code" that "affects with firewalls"
in version 8. Not entirely sure what the ramifications are of that but
it is probably a factor.
-I'm also using SSL on the server.

I hope this helps contribute to a solutions.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] WS_FTP PRO 8.0

Have upgraded to WS_FTP PRO 8.0 using the file called ftppatch.exe.
Configured my connections and the firewall settings.

When connecting, it appears to connect successfully (see log below), but
then it doesn't show me the files and folders at the remote site (and
uploading or downloading doesn't function).

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
