I have an FTP server that I must update daily for other computers who are looking to the server for an update package. The update packages are date specific material and they pre-exist on the server. However, I must change the name of the appropriate file for the specific day of the month for the proper update sequence to occur.
My question is whether I can use WS_FTP Pro to automate this process. I have tried to test the use of "scheduling" to no positive effect. Also, I need this utility to run within the server itself, working on files locally, due to the server being behind firewalls, etc.
This question isn't posed very well so I'll conclude with an example of what I wish to accomplish.
A file named DAY001.ZIP must be copied to the same folder and renamed to COMMON.ZIP.
I expect that I can use the solution to the above need to accomplish the next day's effort (DAY002.ZIP, and so forth).
