I have reported this to customer support but they claim they could not
duplicate any problems. With the 7.x version I could always edit a file on
the remote site, it would pop up in Notepad, I could then close it and
Notepad would save it in a temporary file on my system and automatically
upload it to the remote site. Worked great!

One of the new features of 8.0 was to improve the remote editing of files
but instead it now no longer works. I edit a remote file it comes up in
Notepad but when I save it, it once again saves it to a temp file on my
local machine but it does not automatically upload the file. I have Active
Edit setup properly and it is checked to "automatically upload changes when
the editing application closes". I am editing .txt files on the remote site
in Notepad.

Does this work for anyone else? Only way it does work is if I press the "E"
icon for Active Edit and click on upload. But this kind of defeats the
purpose. 7.x worked much nicer. The way it stands now it is easier to
download the files to my local computer edit then and then upload again.
But this kind of defeats the purpose of editing files directly on the remote
site.

Any ideas???? Does this work for others? Can you remotely edit a TXT file
and have it automatically upload.
