Hi,

They probably mean to enter /wwwroot as the remote startup folder. Edit the connection and click startup.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] Cannot see files on server....instructions from my client are puzzling....

I am designing a website for a new client and when I requested server and password info to upload new pages and modify the existing site,  I was supplied with this information (numbers and names changed for this example).

When I get there, I connect, but there is only a folder icon and a backslash in the location bar in WSFTP on the server side, and nothing in the content window...

As you can see below, I was instructed to "put in the default directory of wwwroot as well in yourFTP program to see the files"

Exactly what am I  required to do in this instance???

(Here's what they sent me)

FTP Info:
host name: 123.456.789.10
(you will need to put in the default directory of wwwroot as well in
yourFTP program to see the files)
