are you browsing an IP or a URL? I have had the same issues when using
virtual hosts and using the IP as the host name as opposed to an actual
hostname. makes no sense... especially since permissions are granted based
on [EMAIL PROTECTED] but still. An admin for the host will display
"properly," yet a normal user will not work properly if you connect using an
IP as the host.

at least this has been my experience.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] External User Database

I'm trying to configure to use an external user database for WS_FTP Server.

ODBC connectivity is working, DLL is in place, table exists, proper
permissions are set.

I can create users using WS_FTP Server admin tool, and the records show up
in the designated database. Proper flags are even set for the FTPFLAGS
value.

However, I can not then login with the userid & password combination that
was created. I receive "invalid userid / password".

Additionally, when browsing the WS_FTP Server GUI, the Users section does
not populate with the user account entries in the database.

Ideas?

Pete
