Yes, that was the first thing I tried after the problem was reported to me. The windows FTP client shows the correct file time for the location of the server (PDT). I also connected to the FTP site using IE and the file times are correct in IE also.
Are there any know problems with the "Time Offset" in WS_FTP? I was surprised that if I changed the offset field it had not effect on the times displayed.
Thanks,

Gary,
Have you tried connecting with a simple FTP Client like the one that comes with Windows? If you see the file 'time' as 14:00 with another client, then it would point to the server, otherwise you would know it was WS_FTP Pro.

Hello all: I am having a problem with the "Time Offset" in WS_FTP Pro. I connect to a Unix server in CA (-3 hours from my time zone) and the server maintains file times in local time, so they have a file time at 17:00 hours PDT that was sent at 20:00 EDT). When I connect with WS_FTP Pro and look in the folder, the file time is listed as 14:00 ? No matter what I enter in the "Time Offset" field, the time still appears as 14:00. 14:00 is wrong no matter what zone you are in, 6 hours earlier than EDT would put the time zone beyond the International Date Line, so the date would be a day later (I think), which it is not. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong with the site setup? TIA Gary J. Piccoli Colonial Computer Associates
