Use XXCOPY.. it is a very powerful command line add-on to XCOPY.. from here: http://www.xxcopy.com/download/xxcopy.zip
And then you can run a command line similar to the following to copy only newer files and show a progress bar and output the results of the transfer to a log (we have used it to transfer TONS of files): xxcopy C:\Files D:\Files /PB /CK0 /DA /E /C /I /F /H /R /Y >> C:\XXCopyTransfer.log and the ref for the switches in this list are: /DA // Copies newer files and brand new files. /CK0// Disables the pre-check of remaining space before copy. /PB // Shows Progress bar for the job (excellent feature!) /E // Copies directories and subdirectories, including empty ones. /C // Continues copying even if errors occur (default). /I // initializes (creates if absent) the new directory /F // Displays full source and destination file names while copying. /H // Copies hidden and/or system files also. /R // Overwrites read-only files. /Y Overwrites existing files without prompting (See /BB). >> Yourlogfile // outputs all display on screen to logfile (DOS command) (another great thing to have.. it gives you a full summary in the log).
