Claudio,

this would be fine, if it works.
can you tell us in more details, what we have to do.

should it work in this way, as Travis wrote:

I connect to two sites, so that the window to one site (server) is open on
the left
and the window to the other (server) is open on the right. I then just try
to drag
and drop between windows.

or is it to do in an other way?

Travis,

Servers usually disallow this kind of transfers, to a third party not the
client because of security concerns. However, Pro 9 should be able to do
it, in fact, it should try to interconnect the 2 servers together in two
ways, one passive and the other active and viceversa. If that fails, it
should stream it without requiring to download the whole file first.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] Problems with Site to Site Transfer

 Hi everyone,

I'm evaluating wsftp pro 9, and am interested in it specifically for the
ability to transfer files from one server to another, without the need to
download them locally 1st.

I've been trying to get this working, but so far no go.

I connect to two sites, so that the window to one site is open on the left
and the window to the other is open on the right. I then just try to drag
and drop between windows. The file properties dialogue seems to have the
correct operation: "Site to Site" - but it does nothing, and eventually
times out wiht an "Error: 40"

Curiously, I can download from both servers to my local machine without any
problems.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong, or where the problem might
reside? Is this a problem with the way the servers themselves are
configured?

Thanks for your help,

Travis
