Hi All, In the upcoming release of WS_FTP Home and Professional, you will be able to create a new connection type, called Local, which can be a local (c:\>), network mapped drive, UNC path or pretty much any location you can see in Network Neighborhood/My Network Places.
In your situation, it sounds like you are running 2 (or more) different computers on your home LAN. As long as you can "see" all of the computers on your LAN, then you can connect create 2 Local connections (or as many as you have PC's on your Home LAN) but you will not have the ability to do the side by side, simultaneous view. Home only allows you to visually see one local connection and one remote connection at a time. In the upcoming WS_FTP Professional (but not in Home), you can also setup multiple simultaneous Local connections but you can also view them simultaneously. This means you can copy files between multiple LAN connections, multiple Local connections and FTP Server to FTP Server or any combination of the aforementioned, simultaneously. This can be done by putting Local1 on the left and Local2 on the right so you can more easily copy from one to the other. Hope this helps. kg -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mark Sent: Wednesday, May 04, 2005 12:02 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] Home or Server version I would like to be able to ftp between serveral computers on my LAN (home).
