Title: Connections that are Idle
Jim that sounds encouraging!!   Something else I've noticed..  that Kill button on Session Mgr will not  kill of  more than
1 session at a time.  I have tried to highlight 5 or 6 sessions at a time using the Shift key to tag  them and it only kills
the first one in the list  to be killed. So, even though it allows you to tag  several items to be killed off it only does one.

Thanks for your feed back about  the timeout feature I'll look at it again.....Ron

There is an idle timeout option (general options for each host), but there are occasions where it isn''t being abided by. We have had an open issue with Ipswitch since last year, and so far there has been no resolution. In the meantime, we periodically use session manager to kiil them off.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] Connections that are Idle

I have a copy of WsFtp Server(ver 5.02 2004.07.20) running on my Win-2000 machine. I have
notice that some of the customers that connect via  FTP  have apparently
failed to  "disconnect from their session"  and it leaves the connection state
Idle.
Does anyone know if there is a place that we can "configure a connection time limit"  so if
they exceed that limit the Sever mgr could flush or kill the connection.
Sometimes I get as many as 50 Idel connections.
