That's
a nice feature request. I'm the Product Manager for the File Transfer products
at Ipswitch.
At
this point, the files remain zipped on the server unless you create a server
side rule (e.g. WS_FTP Server) that launches an external"unzip"
tool/utility. Or you can certainly use a WS_FTP Pro
to download the zipped file and unzip locally.
I will
add this to the feature request list for WS_FTP Server.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] ZIP Compression in New WSFTPI read the new features list about ZIP compression. Does WSFTP then automatically unzip the files after the upload is completed? Or would one need to have terminal access to the destination system to unzip them?
