Title: Automating an sftp connection to a WS_FTP server

Hello All,

I am trying to automate and sftp transfer with a trading partner who uses IPSwitch's WS_FTP product.  We currently use sftp that comes with OpenSSH 3.9 and have been able to make an sftp connection to an external trading partner;  however we have to enter a user ID and password upon login in order to authenticate.  We are looking to automate this authentication process and tried using the -b (batchmode) option in sftp but have been told that you can NOT pass a password in a batch file to sftp like you can with ftp.  Another option we were considering is using public/private keys and authenticating this way through ssh.  However when I try to open an ssh session with the WS_FTP server it says the system admin has disabled ssh.  So has anyone out there ever run across this issue before and found a solution, if so I would be glad to hear it.

Thanks,
