Sounds like Mainframe fun LOL. I had similar problems
with mainframe ftp and PDS at my last job, the problem is while the PDS
contains files it is also a FILE itself. In ftp you can cd into like you did, I suspect that is
causing you some trouble. Also you nned the quote because your profile (mainframe
logon profile, a.k.a. logon proc) keeps sticking your ID in front of the pds I
bet. I am not sure if you can change some setting in the site profile for that
transfer may help. I wish I still worked at a mainframe shop or had
access to a ftp server with mainframe PDS, I would take a look for you. I
always ftp from the command line because of the way ftp is on mainframe,
however 2007 ftp pro is a big improvement from the one I last used. I was
using IBM WEBSPERE HOST ON DEMAND ( don’t believe the commercials ftp pro
is better) , wish you best of luck. Sorry I couldn’t help. Oh and the <user>.TEST.OHSD.SOURCE(membername) and ‘TEST.OHSD.SOURCE(membername)’
are different pds. The single quotes always was needed in my ftp with
mainframe pds. Damon R Stella From:

[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On
Behalf Of Pitruzzello, Anthony J Greetings, I
just started working with WS_FTP Pro 2007. I can connect to my FTP
Server. My problem is in displaying members of a PDS. The library
can be accessed as <user>.TEST.OHSD.SOURCE(membername) or as
‘TEST.OHSD.SOURCE(membername)’, using the quotes. Initially,
I had two windows: one local and one remote. Making the connection to my
FTP server produced a right hand pane, labeled with the server name I
specified. I selected Change Folder and typed
‘TEST.OHSD.SOURCE.’ That produced a list of members in that
PDS. So far, so good. Next
time I logged on, I had TEST.OHSD.SOURCE. in the address window of the right
hand pane. However, there didn’t appear to be any action (e.g.,
double clicking on the folder) that would produce the member list. I
selected Change Folder and retyped that same address (TEST.OHSD.SOURCE.) and
the list appeared. However, in subsequent sessions, sometimes retyping
that address produces the list and sometimes it doesn’t. I
obviously don’t understand how this is supposed to work. Can anyone
clue me in?
