[WSG] css positioning - one column middle of page

Hi I have seen this working in IE at http://contest.prestontalk.com/index/gothic/0/4/1/

and I can get it working in Mozilla, but not in IE on my own comp.

 

And from what I can gather of the code

         position: relative;
         margin: 10px auto;
         width: 750px;
         padding: 5px;
         background-color: #333;
         color: #fff;


}



 



I want to have just one column, which will ultimately hold
the rest of my content, exactly positioned in the center of the page.
