Further to this I found this in the kde bugzilla

Safari has been recently added support for border-collapse. So khtml will eventually support it, too (but not for 3.2).
I can't find any available info on what version of Safari this will be included in.
Cheers, Mark

Hi James,
I've just been playing around with this on Konqueror and it doesn't seem to be supported. I'm writing a bit of a tutorial on the two border models for tables and when I am finished it I will post it online and submit some bug reports to kde to see if we can get it supported.
If you find a workaround I'll be interested to see it but I suspect we'll have to wait until at least safari 1.2 or kde 3.3.
Any idea if there is a bugzilla or similar for safari?
Cheers, Mark

Hi all
Does Safari support border-collapse : collapse; in removing the internal padding in a table?
My testing says no but could their be a workaround?
This is the CSS way around cellpadding and cellspacing....
Cheers James
