hi all
Was just trying to find some information on sending headers to IE and noticed that microsoft.com is not displaying some images to non-IE browsers. A quick switcheroo on the user agent shows that yes, Mozilla (much like IE) can render images. At first I'd thought I'd inadvertently turned images off.
It's sending this fine markup to Moz browsers:
<td width="148"><img width="16" src="/homepage/gif/1ptrans.gif">
<font style="font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; color: rgb(120, 120, 120);">Windows</font>
</td>
And this fine markup to IE:
<td background="/homepage/gif/brandwhole_4.gif" height="80" colspan="8">
<img usemap="#BrndMp1" border="0" height="80" width="443" src="/homepage/gif/1ptrans.gif">
</td>
Wonder if they are intentionally "breaking" the pages..hmmmm... maybe another bork edition of Opera is required?

bork bork bork!
I just don't understand why someone would want to spend their time doing two lots of code forked on a user agent string that can be faked?
Cheers James
