Don't blame you. IE has been on my last nerve recently...ALOT.
I wouldn't use the hack...it's a rather minor issue anyway, and the hack could cause other issues to arise...not to mention it's a hack.
Looks fine in what I tried it in:
Safari 1.2 Firebird 0.7 IE 5.2.3 Opera 6.03
