Is the indent 3 pixels wide? If so, it may be the 3 pixel text jog bug: http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer/threepxtest.html
If so, I would not recommend the hack suggest in the article. There are any ways to work around the problem without hacks of any sort. On method would be to simply float both columns - problem disappears.
