Let me summarise recent comments on this topic (from our list): "Scrollbar is not in the CSS spec and should not be used - it's an MS "addition" to the CSS spec that messes with the user's UI widgets. Also, your CSS won't validate."
"They are not real CSS functionsJust scraps that IE added in to try and take over" "scrollbar-track-color: #whatever; works in IEx, and some other browsers (Preferences... "enable scrollbar colors"), but it's an IE propriety - and it does not validate XHTML Strict." "Yes, let's stick to Standards when creating sites, and leave the UI to the U :~)" HTH Russ > hello everyone, im just wondering if there is a way to change > scroll bars with CSS that will that will work cross browser and still be > valid>? ***************************************************** The discussion list for http://webstandardsgroup.org/ See http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm for some hints on posting to the list & getting help *****************************************************
