LOL - what good is paper in space - get rid of it! Use a PDA with LiIon batteries as they are a few ounces lighter than NiCAD or alkaline ;-) and replace the solid plastic pen/pointer with a ultralight hollow carbon fiber replacement weighing much less and costing 1000x as much - also replace the "heavy plastic shell of the PDA with a carbon fiber shell weighing 25% or less of the original and again costing 100x as much.
