[WSG] marquee text

My client has asked me for a section of scrolling text dammit!     Have searched online...cant find anything other than the fact that the marquee tag has been depreciated.'   Is there anyway that this sort of thing can be done without effecting on the validation and accessibility of a site?   Anyone know where i can find some info on this? :(   Jackie Reid
