hey guys

working on putting a design together at the moment, looking for some feedback on the coding and some ways to improve it. it's just about finished.

Looks fine to me (aside from the Safari issues noted by Andy)... I also have to agree that it looks very much like one of those commercial templates you'd find on template monster of somewhere -- probably due to the abundance of stock images.

I know you were looking for feedback on the code, not the design, but I also think the design is quite tight, and doesn't have any space/air to breath -- and I personally hate links that are the same colour as the body copy.

While we're at it, why are there two navigation bars right near each other, and why is there a double-up of the home button on both bars, and why is there no visual feedback in the navigation to indicate that I'm "home" right now? Is the date in the header relevant?

Sorry to be so harsh -- you'll either appreciate constructive criticism or you won't, but the above certainly was intended to be offensive or anything -- just a few observations.
