if you look at it the other way around though, it makes sense: the id/class is something intrinsic to the document itself; you're then taking advantage of this to style things in different situations. if you see what i'm getting at. of course, the id/class should be descriptive, rather than presentational (e.g. id="aboutpage" rather than id="greennavbar") P ________________________________ Patrick H.
