Regarding free editors I thought I'd mention HTML Kit from Chami as its a 
good quality editor that is free and you can download modules for php mysql 
etc that are really handy. I chucked DreamWeaver and other WYSIWYGs because 
they liked to put in their own code and I got sick of fighting them.
