Hmmmm... Unfortunately, the layout is liquid by CEO request and quite frankly, to attempt to utilize as much screen real estate as possible, while still making it contract gracefully.
However, you've gotten me thinking. Perhaps there is a way to combine 'faux columns' with some sort of 'sliding doors' trick to create 'faux columns' that stretch horizontally, or even the 'onion slicing' approach to drop-shadows...
Anyone attempt something like that before? Before I go wasting my time... ;) Of course it will be semantic tag soup.
