Ted,

I wholly agree with you – but what good is color theory if you can’t pick them out?  In my case I’m severely colorblind, and have to rely on programs (I use ColorSuite for Hexachrome by Pantone) to find complementary colors.  It’s not that I can’t, or don’t understand color theory – it’s just impossible for me to transfer theoretical knowledge to practical application.
