Just had a go at it, with a few changes.
- made the image much (5 times) taller, so it won't repeat.
- made the corners transparent, so it can go with any background.
- shifted it slightly right so those transparent corners worked.
- the image is still only 23K, as png-8, 64 colors.
- wrapped the whole thing so I can spread it around as I like on a page.
Works just fine in; Opera 7.54, Firefox 1.0, IE6 and Safari.
Works fine with IE6 in quirks mode too. :)
