Apples and oranges: DW is a standalone application that you run on your machine, while x-standard is a browser-based plugin (which, as far as I remember, uses ActiveX, thus limiting it to IE/PC) that you drop into your backend CMS pages in lieu of a big textarea for authors to type in their HTML code...
