Today launched the new minimilist standards compliant http://www.thenews.com.au in Hobart Tasmania. Why is it a big step? Well until now there hasn't been much interest in the standards movement from within the web development firms here, not in a real I believe its the way of the future kind of way. So I had a phone call from Jason Carter creative director of Punk Media and creator of TheNews to do this minimilist accessible design. And he pretty much took up the ball on what went where and so forth. So I just put it together really. Its powered by WordPress for the functionality.
Anyway its a very good sign that views are changing when trends reach Tasmania (please no mean emails off list or on - its only a posting, thanks).
