I've had a lot of success with Macromedia Contribute. You can pick up a copy for around AUD $220 from Harvey Norman or Harris Technology, it totally respects server-side code and standards, and if you use Dreamweaver templates you can specify which parts of the page the client is allowed to edit. It's very squarely targeted at *maintenance* rather than "you can use this to build your own web site".
