Or get Knoppix and run it off the live CD on your main machine http://www.knoppix.org/

Also worth mentioning that, if all you're after is to test that a static layout works (i.e. you're not after checking whether javascript behaviours or :hover type effect work), Dan Vine's iCapture is back up and running, albeit with free registration required (after a long period of simply being broken and non-functional) http://www.danvine.com/icapture/
