Access keys are problematic - as mentioned previously they are often used by
various applications. IBM Homepage Reader uses numeral access keys, and if
you have numeral access keys in your site you will over-ride this.

Another option is to provide a structure of related pages using the
following:
        <link rel="home"       title="Home"      href="index.asp" />
        <link rel="up"         title="Up"        href="index.asp" />
        <link rel="prev"       title="Previous"  href="languages.asp" />
        <link rel="next"       title="Next"      href="about.asp" />

These links are used by screen readers and also browsers such as Opera to
assist in navigating through the site.

Cheers,
Gian

Subject: Re: [WSG] Access Key question

If your not one of those 'javascript-is-evil' people you could use
something like

window.onkeypress=access;
function access(event){
    if(event.keyCode='[insert character here]'){
       code to execute here;}
    elseif(event.keyCode='[insert character here]'){
       ...etc...
}
I don't know how well this would work for screenreaders and such, but it
works for all the common browsers.
