Hi tee, my idea was: The IE5/Mac shows UTF-8 wrong - perhaps he will show the corresponding character entity (&#x ...;) instead. The hope (may be wrong) is that the IE5 finds the correct font and the glyphe alone. An example: At http://www.lotusseeds.com/IE_Mac/example.html you had marked a wrong character after the word 'Web' (the first character in the next line). Copying this character from http://www.lotusseeds.com/simplified.html and checking the codepoint says this has to be the character with the hex-code 6807. So creating a page with 标 in the body may show it correct. If not ... then my idea was wrong.
