Am I missing the point here? I find that IE6 in standards mode behaves very
much like FF1in several respects - certainly it is much more 'standard' than
when the prolog is present.

{
margin-left : auto;
margin-right : auto;

}

is but one example.  Not sure what it is you're looking for . . .
