Hi Paul, I think this is no longer a problem. A few months ago persons had written that the image has to be inside a a-element that a search engine will read the alt-attribut. But now search 'Treppenpunkte': Then you find a page from my domain, this word is only in the alt-attributes, the two pictures have no link. It could be that the search engines will list all alt-attributes so that persons with disabilities can find the content, if words only used in alt-attributes.
