There's a lot space (around 70px) below each Google ad - so the Google subhead plus two ads is taking up 300px+ of your prime screen real estate. I much prefer the English page, where the ads are at the bottom, and not in my face.
You've also got 1px of white at RH side of main section, compared to IE5/Mac; not sure which div.
IE5/Mac shows insufficient lineheight on your <h2>s - where they wrap to a second line, the lines are overlapping.
