I've tried defining the text with a pixel size: font-size: 9px;
and with a relative size: font-size: .75em; (the body container is
set at 76%)
But both attempts yield similar results - on mac browsers, the menu
is much smaller...
Can anyone offer me some insight? Elsewhere on the page, I'm
satisfied that the font size is similar across operating systems...
the problem appears to be extreme on the small-end.
Not too much insight to offer, but I can confirm that your 9px menu-text
in windows 2K browsers must be bumped up to 10px in order to fill the
same width in Mac OS-X browsers (had to turn off my min-font-size
everywhere, so I cannot read that menu-text).
FYI: All text on that page is smaller on my iMac screen than on my
win2K screens -- across browser-land, so nothing lines up. Just not that
visible with the larger fonts.
Hope you're not basing layout on font-size...
regards
Georg
