Bob, I had never seen this before last week, when I got quite the surprise myself as IE spit out "Operation aborted" at me. So far though, I haven't been able to figure it out either. I'm doing some testing a design work for ideaShrub (http://ideashrub.com) and there's a page that does the same thing you mention here. John Resig and I are working on figuring out what the problem is, and if we do, I'll be sure to post a follow-up here on the WSG list. Here's hoping for some answers....
