Hi Georg It would appear that your fix for the floating container (by removing the height) has also fixed the IE 5.0 bug I was experiencing.
Just tested it now on browser cam Win2k IE5.0 and the boxes no longer drop down on the page. Cheers for all your help! It might be the IE5.0-exclusive "jumping page bug", but that's just a shot in the dark. If so, then it's a tough bug to kill, and most solutions require a slight change in markup. That page-layout/CSS can't handle font-resizing in any browser but IE/win btw. Same problem: fixed height.
