What about a soundscape for the blind (or just listeners) from an aural
CSS stytlesheet but (a big BUT) , CSS aural styles are poorly supported.
Sorry, by 'thin rope' I was referring to use of rel="alternative
stylesheet" and relying on the user checking FF/Opera's view/styles menu
(ie no in-body reference back to those). Even then, it's by no means a
mistake - and in any case having javascipt actions linked on a page menu
clears that hurdle.

Screenreaders accepting aural CSS declarations, almost nothing.
It's tragic, because there's a lot (albeit confused) of fantastic aural
CSS in 2.1.
The Linux freeware screen reader seems to be one of the best. I am not a
devotee of any operating system or software.
No experience of. I will be setting up my linux box sometime in the
mythical future, but it's still idle fantasy for me as of now!
