Hi,

The problem seems to be with the <div id="mainNav" > which just contains
an image (which makes the name seem strange).

There seems to a lot of  superfluous stuff in this id.

However, if you take the float: left; rule out of #mainNav it cures the
problem (please don't ask me what's quite going on here).

Also, with regards to the Javascript, I'd suggest you put it in an
external .js file (this will stop some browsers trying to parse it) and
also change the LI to lowercase (li) when using with xhtml.
