The funny thing for me was his later comment - someone else mentioned JAWS, he obviously went away and did some 'research', and from that concluded that JAWS required a website built with Active Directory (the Microsoft network management system) instead of standard web technologies. But the frightening part about it was that everyone seemed to take him seriously and value his 'expertise'.
