I think that you've looked at the issue from the wrong side in that you assume it would only show in regional searches (e.g. an italian search engine) whereas in actual fact it should show up in a global search for that region - e.g. if I search for "hotels pisa italy" I would expect it to show up as it's geo.position clearly states that is where it is and so the search engine can be 100% sure that it is in the area I'm looking for.
That's why I posted, to get another perspective - thanks - what you say makes perfect sense.
